I'm thinking a new year means a new look for SLJ. Something a little more suited to my Sweet Lucy Jean now as opposed to this time last year.  She is feisty, and though it drives me cRazy, I love her all the more for it.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Well hello again!

Summer was long and sweaty- too sweaty for this crafter to crochet!  Fortunately, fall has brought the perfect weather (IMHO) for crafting and specifically, crocheting ;)

Check out one of my latest achievements; a brimmed hat with scallops and shells.  LOVE it!  I've also churned out fingerless gloves with the same stitch pattern and yarn- so cute!

Slouchy hats cute retro-style brimmed hats are super popular right now and just this weekend, I made some baby hats for new (and not so new) babies in our family ♥

Christmas requests have started to come in, nothing better than a custom hand-made gift for those you love.  Everyone loves a personal, thought-out gift :)

Find me a picture or an idea and I'll try my best to replicate it.

I have always loved pixie hats and the first thing I made for my Sweet Lucy Jean was a pixie hat.  They are  very flexible, dress them up or down and look so sweet on both boys and girls!
Once again, Jude has been paid off with Smarties to model for you.  These hats will be available at the upcoming MOPS Consignment Sale on April 16th.  Hope to see you there!

Flapper Head Band $15

This is so exciting!  I didn't see the appeal of these headbands until I made one for a friend's birthday today.  Take a bad hair day, put on this headband and poof! You ARE boho-chique.

Why Sweet Lucy Jean?

This is a site for anyone with a Sweet Lucy Jean in their life.

Our world was turned upside down by the arrival our baby girl, almost a whole 18 months ago.  There is just something about little ones and the joy they bring us.

It's a love you can't describe in words but you know it when you feel it.  A love that aches and makes you want to fight for your Sweet Lucy to never have to know hurt or fear.

Your Sweet Lucy is anyone in your life you know has changed you (often painfully so) and through that change you know you are better and you will follow them to the very ends of this beautiful earth.  Your Sweet Lucy may be just new or may be raising their own Sweet Lucy, but you know as well as I do, that once a Sweet Lucy Jean comes to you, you are smitten for life.
